This joint ESMTB (European Society for Mathematical and Theoretical Biology) and SFBT (Société Francophone de Biologie Théorique)
prize is awarded every two years to a young researcher
from an eligible Southern country, on the basis of a remarkable contribution
in mathematical or theoretical biology, carried out in
collaboration with a European or French-speaking country.

Position of the SFBT Board for vaccination
The SFBT Board voted a motion in favor of vaccination against the present
Covid-19 pandemy. It fully supports the major scientific breakthrough
presented by the development of new RNA vaccines and other classical vaccines
and expresses its solidarity will all scientists who contributed to this
historical success presently appearing as the only solution
to overcome this world crisis on public health.

The French Speaking Society for Theoretical Biology (SFBT) organizes the 40th edition of its Seminar in Saint-Flour (France) from 2nd to 5th July 2020. This meeting will present and discuss research at the interface of mathematics, medicine and biology and foster new perspectives. Conferences and communications will be submitted to Acta Biotheoretica and Biology (MDPI), two international journals where members of the SFBT Board are editors, for publication in 2021 [pdf].
Prix Ovide Arino : OAOA (Ovide Arino Outreach Award)
Ce prix conjoint de l'ESMTB (European Society for Mathematical and Theoretical Biology)
et de la SFBT (Société Francophone de Biologie Théorique) récompense tous les deux ans
un·e jeune chercheur·e d'un pays éligible pour une contribution remarquable
en biologie mathématique ou théorique, réalisée en collaboration avec un pays européen ou francophone.
Critères d'éligibilité
Le prix inclut :
- un prix de 1000 EUR,
- 1 an d'adhésion à l'ESMTB et à la SFBT.
